When it comes to pool construction, vinyl lining has been a trusted choice for over six decades, and for good reason. It’s renowned for its durability and waterproofing capabilities, making it one of the most reliable and long-lasting options in the industry. In this article, we’ll delve into the various advantages of why we vinyl line the OUTBACK Plunge Pool.

Yes! All of our equipment use a salt chlorinator which means the salt in the water creates the chlorine that doses into your pool, no liquid chlorine is required. We recommend using Mineral salt bags over straight salt bags as the minerals benefit your skin, hair and muscles and we are all about natural. Be sure to add our Magnesium bags to your order as it is required for start up & maintenance.

Base: entry level, will cost more to run per year due to a fixed speed pump. It is a fully chlorinated system, not a fresh water approach. A weekly schedule.

Cruise: Mid level, is a freshwater approach due to the UV lamp.  Has variable speed pump where you can drop it down at off peak times. Will need to dose with harmful acids to balance pH levels. A monthly maintenance schedule.

Smart: fully automated system with a freshwater approach. Has variable speed pump where you can drop it down at off peak times. A yearly maintenance.

Yes they are considered climbable by most certifiers. A 360° fencing is generally required in Victoria. It is all dependant on the certifier.

No, unfortunately not due to engineering and logistic limitations. The 3.4m x 1.52m is a huge plunge pool, it’s a family & party pool!

No. A plumber is not required. The piping runs to and from the filtration system. The filtration system can be up to 20m way from the pool.

A soil test is required to determine your base. Generally 150mm thick, rio enforced  concrete slab is required. 2-300mm wider than the pool.

Road base is required to be 200mm compacted and 2-300mm wider than the pool.

In-Ground prep requirements, it is a process, see details here: https://outback.com.au/support/installation/

Essentially to 38°. However achieving this is very dependent on factors such as ambient air temperature, cover, location of Equipment.

Most customers do! A pool thermal blanket helps to reduce debris, prevent heat loss, and can raise water temperature by up to 8ºC by trapping solar energy. It’s also an effective way to reduce evaporation and keep your pool clean.

Yes, adding a pool cover is highly recommended. A cover reduces debris, prevents heat loss, and can increase water temperature by up to 8ºC by trapping solar energy. It also helps maintain water cleanliness and reduces evaporation. Choose the right cover for the right job. Thermal is for heat retention, sits on the water. Debris/ lockable is good for leaves, creepy crawlies and children.

We use specialised logistic partners. Our delivery fee includes up to two crew members to assist with placement and up to 30km travel from the CBDs of Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, or Perth. For other areas, travel surcharges may apply.

If your site is accessible, we can assist with placement in the final position by rolling into place using mattresses for protection.

Access required: the pool commonly will be rolled into place. The width becomes the height required (checking for guttering, branches etc) & the depth becomes the width required. The pool can be lifted over fences so don’t be shy in asking your surrounding neighbours for access, it will save you on crane costs. For pics check out our socials

Our pools are delivered across VIC, regional NSW & QLD!

We encourage our customers to do their due diligence in respect to add-ons. An average concrete pool in Australia costs around $50,000 to $75,000. A smaller pool, around 6m by 3m, may be $45,000 to $60,000.

These fees don’t include extra costs like soil removal, feature walls or extras like heating and sensors for chlorine or pH levels.

When you get a quote for a concrete pool, it’s important to ask what’s included. Some companies will create the pool and little else, while others will include tiling, paving, fencing and heating.

The price will also be dependent on the shape of the pool, access problems and possible problems when excavating. For example, if the excavator runs into a large rock under the surface, it will cost more to remove the rock.

Costs of concrete pool add-ons

If you want to add a spa, this will likely cost you an extra $15,000 or so.

A feature wall is also considered an extra costs.

These could be in the region of:

  • $7200 for a 3m by 2m wall

Adding a bench in the pool may cost around $370 per square metre and a full with step entry may cost around $600 per square metre.

Mosaic tiling is the most expensive type of tile and can cost an extra $14,000 to $19,000 for glass pearl effect mosaic tiles. A pebble pool interior may not cost more, but find out costs from pool suppliers because some will charge for any type of pebble or pool tile.

Outback has plenty of after purchase support, a QR code on the back of the filtration system, a link for booking in for a handover and 1300 550 655

The pool comes with a warranty for all its components, typically covering manufacturing defects for up to 18 years.

Every project is different, but you may need to organise an electrician to install power near the equipment, base costs, engineering, council applications, landscaping, or crane hire if applicable,  assembly (optional) and delivery.

Yes, we offer financing options through Handy Pay. You can apply directly with them for credit. There are no additional charges for using this service.

Generally speaking a minimum of 500mm from the step is where the filtration and light will be.

Unless otherwise speciifed the jet are on the back of where the bench seat is located.

Outback plunge pools provide cleaning accessories to clean the vinyl liner, this needs to wiped down to avoid build up.  the skimmer box will skim the surface of the water but a robot cleaner is required to get the debris from feet etc at the bottom of the pool.
